G Unit The G-Unit begins as a trio with members 50, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. Their impressive acts are accompanied by DJ masters such as DJ Whookid and Cutmaster C. They stand professionally behind East Coast hardcore rapper 50 Cent as his particular crew. Their collaboration spawns the hit mix-tapes 50 Cent Is the Future, Gods Plan, No Mercy, No Fear and Automatic Gunfire. The groups efforts give good results and before long their debut album turns into reality. Unfortunately, at this time the group loses one of their best members, Yayo, who is sentenced to prison due to gun possession. His substitute Young Buck helps the group recover fast and record yet more mixtape recordings. They score remarkable success with the G-Unit Remix TO 50s "P.I.M.P", featuring Snoop Dogg. This is a good prelude to the debut album release in 2003. Beg for Mercy is popularized by the lead single, "Stunt 101", as well as by "Poppin' Them Thangs" and "Wanna Get to Know You."
