 Her
full name is Kari Samantha Wuhrer. She came into the world on April
28th, 1967, in Brookfield, Connecticut. Her parents are Karin, a payroll
officer, and Andrew, a former police officer and car salesman.Despite the positions of her parents, Kari dreams to break into the showbusiness and become famous. Before turning to music field she wants to become an actress. Always searching for the attention of the others she transforms her dreams into reality appearing on television when being just 13. Later, she sets out for New York City to enter competitions. Kari takes the hard path of the artist who is ready for anything in order to succeed. She signs a contract with Ford's Model Talent division. Her mother in person takes her to the agency, where Kari's persuasiveness makes Ford recognize her beauty immediately. The 1986's film Fire With Fire features Kari, and later she begins working as a VJ for MTV network's game show Remote Control. Music is another passion of hers. She shows her singing worth when being very young. As a teenager, she edges into music groups in the city and even begins to perform in concert with their talented members. This way, Kari becomes the youngest member of a punk rock band, Freudian Slip. After Remote Control, she switches her focus to other projects. Kari brushes up her acting skills, going to NYU, and then to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.One of her memorable TV appearances is in 1990's Andrew Dice Clay film, The Adventures of Ford Fairlane. Kari acts in one of the episodes of sitcom Married... with Children in 1991. She also plays a supporting role in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Ariel Hunter. Latershe can be seen in the TV series Swamp Thing from 1991 to 1993. Kari's most distinctive roles on the big screen are in: Higher Learning, with Tyra Banks; The Crossing Guard, with Jack Nicholson; Anaconda, starring Jennifer Lopez; and the 1998 comedy Kissing a Fool. In a personal light, Kari gets married to the punk rock musician, Salin, but shortly they split. Currently, Kari can be seen host Sliders.. |
