Isabella Rossellini
Biography |
Isabella Rosellini was born on 18 June 1952 in Rome, Italy. Her mother is the great actress Ingrid Bergman. Isabella’s film debut was in A Matter of Time (1976). In 1986 she starred as the much-abused small-town nightclub singer in David Lynch’s Blue Velvet. She is also famous for her career as a fashion model and as the face of the cosmetic empire Lancome. Isabella possesses qualities such as dedication and perseverance combined with a mild character. After her roles in The Meadow (1979) and Blue Velvet, Isabella was often thought of as being callous and hard-hearted, features associated with Europeans, and of being cold thanks to roles such as those in Wild at Heart (1990), Death Becomes Her (1992), Fearless (1993) and Immortal Beloved (1994). She also appeared in the TV film Lies of the Twins (1991) and in the serial Fallen Angels (1993). Isabella was married to Martin Scorsese from 1979 to 1982, and to Jonathan Wiedemann and Gary Oldman at a later stage of her life. She also has a long lasting relationship with David Lynch from 1986 to1991. |
Isabella Rossellini stated that she is too old to present the cosmetic company Lancome.
Isabella Rossellini and other celebrities attended a memorial party in honor of the dancer Gregory Hines in Harlem's Apollo Theater. |
