Born in Knoxville, TN, at the end of 60s, Kenny Chesney builds a very
strong career based on likeable sounds and melodic lyrics. His first serious
attempts at performing are with the college bluegrass band at East Tennessee
State University, where he studies marketing. After graduation in 1991, he
settles in Nashville and becomes the resident performer at the Turf, a
rougher honky tonk in the city's rundown historic district. Two years later
Kenny decides its better to appear in the spotlight as an independent
performer which gives birth to his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams, with
Capricorn as a record company. The albums success caught the attention of
RCA subsidiary BNA that Chesney releases All I Need to Know with in 1995, a
really successful album with All I Need to Know and "Fall in Love. Chesneys
following album, 1996's Me and You, becomes his first gold release kudos to
the two number two singles in the title track and "When I Close My Eyes".
1997's I Will Stand is another gold release that gives Chesney his
first-ever number one hit in "She's Got It All," plus another number two
with "That's Why I'm Here." His emblematic effort, however, comes in 1999.
The album Everywhere We Go is sold in over two million copies largely due
its two number one hits "You Had Me From Hello" and "How Forever Feels", as
well as "What I Need to Do". One year later Chesney issues his first
Greatest Hits selection which turns into his second straight double-platinum
release. 2002s No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem is his best commercial hit
with winning tracks such as "Young," the number one "The Good Stuff," the
Bill Anderson co-write "A Lot of Things Different," and "Big Star.

Kenny Chesney put a spectacular end to his 2006 tour with a show at the
Verizon Amphitheater in Noblesville, Ind. He put his road crew in the
spotlight on Saturday (Sept. 2) to perform Bob Dylan's "Highway 61
Revisited" and AC/DC's "T.N.T." Commenting on his curious decision, Kenny
says that he wanted to show how talented those guys are, despite being
usually engaged with Kennys shows behind the scene. After closing his set
with "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy," Chesney presented Dierks Bentley, the
only act to spend the entire summer on the tour, with a 22-foot Sea Ray
boat.
