Nick's strong character, including ceaseless faith in his own makings, plays
a significant role in his way to stardom. Born in Cincinnati 2 years ago, he
moves to Los Angeles with no shoulder to lean on in search of his big
chance. Driven by his passion for soul-music Nick gives himself a number of
tries to
make it to the big scene. Becoming one-fourth of the vocal group sensation
98, gives him the chance to realize his dreams. However, being a member of
a
group does not provide him with that ample space to show the most of his
makings. That lack of creative space takes him to the release of his
self-titled
debut solo album, where Nick clearly shows to the public his fluid vocals in
the shape of deeply-moving melodies. The album spawns a number of catchy
hits
that differ from the singer's previous ballad production with the group.
Nick's fans greatly applauds song like "Shut Up", that stands out with its
horns,
slap bass and elastic guitar, "Carry On", featuring anthemic guitars and
uplifting lyrics, "On And On", grabbing with its piano vocals. Among the
album's
contents "Edge Of Eternity" excels as a touchy Rhythm and Blues love message to Nick's
partner, pop princess Jessica Simpson, whom he gets married to in October,
2002. In
Nick's words, his first solo record achievement represents a significant
transition for him. Nick's latest release is the CD single This I swear,
featuring
the theme song from the hit show "The Newly Weds".
