R. Kelly, a professional songwriter, producer and remixer,
that has hit stardom in almost no time due to his immaculate sense of
creating marketable music. His lucky starting year appears to be 1991 when
he signs to Jive Records. The successful start is followed by his isolation
in the recording studio, where he dedicates his time and efforts to writing,
singing and playing different instruments. The result is 'Born Into The
'90s' which is released in 1992 to critical acclaim. 'Born' is a mix of
soul, swing beats infused with rap and pure attitude that goes platinum in
the USA. The success of his album, followed by a stunning world tour makes
his popularity spread on both sides of the Atlantic. R Kellys second album
'12 Play' outstrips the success of the debut one spawning a hit after hit
that attack the heights of UK Top 20. Kellys talent makes him pretty
efficient as a writer, producer and mixer as well. He creates world hits for
some of the greatest stars such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Janet
Jackson, Kelly Price, Toni Braxton, Mary J Blige and Luther Vandross.
Altogether, his music career brings him Grammy Awards, lets him sell
multi-platinum albums across the world and achieve No.1 singles, such as the
mega-hit single, 'I Believe I Can Fly' from the movie, 'Space Jam', and
'Gotham City' from the movie, 'Batman Forever', as well as the duet with
Celine Dion "I'm Your Angel" that
makes a fantastic leap from #155 straight to #1 in the Billboard Top 100
Singles chart.
