Rebecca Romijn-Stamos is probably among the few mannequins who boast a high level of intelligence. No, it is not a compliment, but a true fact.
Just like her beauty is an irrefutable fact. Owing to her sparkling intelligence, she enjoys the other successes that accompany her: in cinema and off it.
Actually, she does not spare her criticism for the world of fashion: "I'd have to say that, in general, models take themselves too seriously.
Basically, they are genetic freaks who spend a couple of hours in hair and makeup." She is also against the fact that these young girls
are allowed by their parents to live by themselves in the big cities, where the dark side of life overtakes them, where they get everything at a time
and lack the opportunity to grow up as ordinary girls, learning life's complicated details step by step: "In my opinion, nobody should be allowed to model until they are 18. I've seen too many 14 and 15-year-olds who have dropped out of high school, live in Paris, go out all night with dirty, old, rich men who give them drugs and treat them like 30-year-olds."
Rebecca's fans are rummaging Internet in order to find naked photos of hers. However, they'll never come across such because she has always refused to pose
naked in front of the objective. Over this matter she states: "Yes. I've been asked to pose nude, but I never have, and I probably never will."
Rebecca Romijn (pronounced row-main, like the lettuce) was born in Berkeley, California, where she later plans to make a music career at the University of
California Santa Cruz. However, a Paris model agency discovers her and makes her a member of a San Francisco modelling agency. She makes it very fast to the capital of fashion and straight away, due to her in-born intelligence and talent, she begins climbing the stairway to success. In 1996 she finds a place in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful people ranking and inks a deal with Victoria's Secret, extensive presence in the 1996 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. The same year she meets her life's love: John Stamos. It is virtually love at first sight. It happens all at once - they marry each other on September 19th, 1998.
It becomes quite obvious that Rebecca's career as a model is moving straight ahead, while her husband's is seemingly headed in the opposite direction,
and when Movieline's Stephen Rebello said as such in their Sex issue, she reportedly was so upset that she refused to attend the party in support of the
issue. It's little wonder either, after Rebello made these comments: "How did this superdish, who could easily marry her way into useful, powerful echelons of Hollywood," end up marrying the guy who played Blackie Parrish on General Hospital for two years and Uncle Jesse on the now-defunct TV sitcom Full House?"
Rebecca is building up a pretty decent name in the world of fashion. Her acting debut is in an episode of Friends in 1997, where she personifies the filthy
disgusting girlfriend of Ross (David Schwimmer).
In 1998, Rebecca takes part in: House of Style as one of the numerous hosts of this show (ex-hosts at this time are: Cindy Crawford and Daisy Fuentes). She
also appears in Norm MacDonald comedy Dirty Work. The following year, she takes part in 4 episodes of the comedy Just Shoot Me, and later becomes one of the
girls of the secrete agent Austin Powers in the hit movie: The Spy Who Shagged Me. 2000 marks her appearance in the block-buster X-Men, where she turns into
Raven Darkholme. In the follow-up to the mutant action Rebecca will be reprising her original role. Two years later she appears in Rollerball and Femme Fatale.

Authors of movie Birth, featuring Nicole Kidman, motivated the necessity to preserve the scene of the movie where the actress is bathing with Cameron Bright (who plays the role of a 10-year old boy, in whose body lives the late husband of Nicole's character). The scene is erotically charged being supposed to be really provoking but in effect nothing shocking is shown. Cameron Brigh himself, who plays the son of the heroine Rebecca Romijn-Stamos in Godsend, comments
that he has appeared in much more shocking scenes in other movies: "In one movie I did, I had an abusive father, and in another I had a father who was a
pedophile. I've had a lot of really dark roles."29 June 2004
John Stamos, who is the ex-big love and husband of 40-year-old Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, was noted to be in the company of a unfamiliar young woman. He split with Rebecca, thus both leaving a five-year-marriage behind their back. 24 June 2004 Rebecca Romijn-Stamos was seen in the company of an appealing businessman. She is obviously looking for consolation after her divorce with the actor John Stamos.16 June 2004
Godsend gave rise to multiple disputes with its launch on the big screen. The movie's story is about a late child cloning. The movie features the stars: Robert De Niro, Greg Kinnear and Rebecca Romjin-Stamos. 30 April 2004 |
