Teri Lynn Hatcher was born on December 8th, 1964 in Sunnyvale, California outside of San Francisco in the family if a nuclear physician (her father), and a computer programmer. Taking into consideration the professional occupation of her parents, one would easily foresee her future in the field of science. However, her fate turns out to take a totally different course.
As a young girl she starts paying attention to her body and dedicates lots of her time to carving its outlines. She heads the school's squad team, also known as the Featherettes.
After high school, Teri starts taking lessons in actorship in San Francisco, while studying Maths and Engeneering at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. A year later Teri becomes a member of San Francisco 49ers cheerleading squad, dubbed The Gold Rush". After 1984, she decides to move her credits to California Polytechnic Institute, but the will of fate is of a different opinion.
Teri goes to Hollywood to morally support a friend of hers who is searching for a job. There she wins her first role instead: for Aaron Spelling's Love Boat.
In 1989, Teri performs in her first big role in a satire, The Big Picture. Following are several supporting roles in Tango & Cash with Sylvester Stallone, Soap Dish with Whoopi Goldberg, and Straight Talk with Dolly Parton. In 1988 Teri enters into a marriage with the professional trainer Markus Leithold, but the divorce comes only 10 months after that. Five years later Teri starts a great project as Lois in every true Superman fanatic's worst nightmare, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This show makes her a household name.
In 1994 Teri marries the actor Jon Tenney and in 1997 their first child Emerson Rose appears..
