Twista USA rapper Twista makes his recording debut on "Po Pimp," a platinum single by his fellow Windy City rappers Do or Die. Kudos to the success of "Po Pimp," Chicago star Twista enters into an agreement with Big Beat/Atlantic and releases his debut album, Adrenaline Rush, in the summer of 1997. One year later he releases Mobstability and in 1999 he is back with Legit Ballin. In fall 2002, Twista joins forces with rap celebrities Jay-Z, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Ludacris for the recording of his third album. The new release is named Kamikaze and promptly hits the Billboard 200 at the beginning of 2004. With the hit single Slow Jamz Twista gains enormous fame. Twistas latest release hits the music stores last year when the album The Day After is launched and the hit single "Girl Tonite", feat. Trey Songz, turns into a real chart-topper.

Rap and hip hop artist Twista gave a hint about his upcoming album release at a listening party on August 24th in a Los Angeles recording studio. The new album, entitled The Day After, will feature collaborations of the star with the Neptunes, that is a guarantee for success. From what was hear at the party, the album is well-balanced with radio, female, club and street friendly tracks. Twista is currently in LA where he finalizes the recording works for The Day After, scheduled for release on October 4. August 25th, 2006

Twista triumphs on the Billboard charts this week as his highly anticipated new Atlantic album, "The Day After," debuts at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Within the first week the album was sold in about 130,000 copies due to the smash first single, "Girl Tonite featuring Trey Songz," "The Day After" follows the Grammy-nominated rapper's multi-platinum, breakthrough album, 2004's "Kamikaze."
