Victoria Beckham Biography
|
Victoria Caroline Adams was born on 17 April 1974 in Hertfordshire, England. As a child Victoria was surprisingly lonely but that didn't prevent her from becoming a leading pop star. She chose her vocation when she was a kid and, while still at school, she sang with a band. She took dancing lessons and studied to become a model first at Jason Theatre School, and then at he Laine Arts Theatre College. Important role in her career played The Stage. She showed up at an audition for singers and dancers who would form a band of five women. Victoria didn't even suspect that that project would eventually lead to the formation of Spice Girls. In 1996 Spice Girls recorded their first single "Wannabe" and their debut album "Spice", which proved to be an enormous hit in the United States and abroad. The five pop divas changed the universal understanding of the word pop and established the term "girl power". Over 35 million albums and 25 million singles have been sold so far thanks to hits such as "2 Become 1" and "Spice Up Your Life". In 1998 Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell quit the band, and in 2000 the remaining four singers chose to part with one another and to pursue solo careers. In the meantime Victoria "Posh Spice" Adams fell in love with and married football star David Beckham in July 1999. Victoria gave birth to two sons Brooklyn and Romeo. In 2001 Victoria recorded her first solo record. When she doesn't rehearse and look after her family, Victoria likes to shop and to take care of her three Yorkshire Terriers. As of now, she is working on her upcoming singles. |
